Being the smallest state in Malaysia, Perlis is situated at the northernmost part of Peninsular Malaysia. The State is bounded on the north by Thailand, the east and south by Kedah and on the west by the Straits of Melaka. Even though the state covers a small area, Perlis does not lose out where attractiveness to tourists is concern. Perlis is a pleasant and excellent destination for holidaymakers with her expansive green paddy plains punctuated occasionally by limestone mounds and her laid-back rural lifestyle and picturesque natural setting. It provides natural surroundings, refreshing atmosphere and most importantly, the cost of living in Perlis is much lower compared to other big cities in the country.

Perlis divided only by three districts which are Arau, Kangar and Padang Besar. Located only 45km from Alor Setar and 138km from Butterworth, Perlis state capital is Kangar while the Royal Town of Arau, only 10kn away. Although Perlis is a small state, it is tourists’ attraction tourist. It can provide an interesting experience for visitors who come to Perlis.
